I'm starting a nice collection of IBM Thinkpads with CRC1 error. All of the information I have found say its a bad bios chip/bad block. Now this seems to be a problem and I can't find anyone selling re flashed chips. I've got 5 of these things and once I get this problem sorted out I should be able to make some money on these. If anyone knows where to get these chips, or the proper eeprom flasher. Please let me know.

The problem: Bad CRC1 Error, 0175 - Ibm boots and then stops with faulty date time, completely unable to enter bios, or boot from any media, so no possibility of flashing through the computer that I can see. If I end up getting one that is still good I might try making some kind of adapter to solder to the board and snap in these cmos chips and flash them, but thats a bit over my head. The other problem is finding a motherboard to slap into these laptops are becoming rare as it seems to happen to all of them. Any new information would be good.
