    Hi All,

I've got an odd little problem with IE 7 on a newly rebuilt PC running XP Home, and I have no clue how to fix it or why it's happening. Hoping someone can help !

Since the rebuild, I have one particular site that I use on a daily basis that has started coming up in what I assume is a mobile format rather than the usual full page that i get on all our other PC's.

The site is http://www.stltoday.com. Whenever I type in that address, or go to it using my saved bookmark copied from another PC, it goes to this address instead: http://m.stltoday.com/STL/index.htm

I very rarely use the net on my mobile phone, so I'm not sure but I'm guessing the 'm' in the URL means thats a mobile page I'm getting ?

The thing I'm finding most confusing is that if I put the http://www.stltoday.com URL into Firefox, I get the full (normal) page I want, the same one I get on all our other PC's, whether I'm using IE or Firefox.

I'm guessing it might be an issue with cookies, but it really is a guess and I have no idea how to resolve it. Can anyone help me out ??

    Thanks !!

I'd delete the favorite from IE 7 as a start. Then clear your browser cache and cookies. Close IE, then open it up again. Type in the address, http://www.stltoday.com ; if it goes to the proper site, add it to your favorites.

    Thanks for your reply Plodr.

Unfortunately doing what you advised didnt resolve the problem.

I deleted the bookmark, closed IE, then ran disk cleanup to delete the browser cache - I dont know of any other way of doing that - and deleted the specific cookie for the stltoday site.

On opening a new IE window I typed in the www.stltoday.com URL, and it went straight back to the mobile site URL, http://m.stltoday.com/STL/index.htm.

    Any other ideas anyone ??

Until someone else comes up with a solution, you'll have to use your workaround - use FF to get to that site.
