IE has encountered an error and needs to close

When I visit a scenic webcam site, and I click on something to do with what I'm looking at such as "contact us", or map.....or anything related to the cam view.....I always get the box with IE has encountered and problem and has to shut down.......well of course you lose everything. I have tried the Microsoft support site on this issue and they say to uncheck "enable script debugging" I don't have that option in (options>advanced).....it also says to remove this in the add/remove program and I do not see it there as well. This was not there before when viewing these scenic cams and now is....could you please help? I run Windows XP Home and IE 6 (tried IE8 and it was worse and slow).
Some say use Firefox......I have tried that and in some cases with scenic cams.....it won't allow the streaming capacity to run......so I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't.

What version of windows are you running? What version of FF do you have as well?

 

I am running Windows XP Home Edition, IE6 and FF 3.0.8. Here is one of the sites that gives me the problem from IE

A lot of sites don't support IE6 anymore. It was released in august 2001 and it's way too old. Have you updated Java and Flash? Installed Microsoft Silverlight? What service Pack are you running? SP3? Do you have all .net Framework versions?
