IE process automatically starting

Anyone know of any programs that can automatically execute the Internet explorer process, iexplore.exe? I seem to be having problems with it automatically starting ever since I installed the vista theme pack 6 (can be found on this website).

Does anyone know why this is happening? I am not using IE at all (using firefox as my default browser), and yet it seems to be automatically starting. Anyone knows why? have I been infected with a spywre/trojan horse program??

 

I have tried uninstalling it. It is still starting the process automatically. System Restore doesn't work, as it seems to think no files were changed. (this happened with or without the theme pack installed)

 

Are you using IE7 and are you getting any error messages?

I currently have IE7 installed. However, I am not using it at all (using firefox). It is just that when I start some applications that require connections to the internet it always starts up the Iexplore.exe when I myself did not start it myself.

 

Try using IE7 and see if you get an error message with the word null in it.

Is this an intermittient problem, or does it happen all the time. I tried using IE7 for awhile; no error messages.

Nope it isn't it. Never had that problem before
