IE randomly redirects to porn sites

please help;

my browser keeps on jumping to random porn sites despite the fact that i'm looking at respectable sites. i regularly empty temp internet files and use 'crap cleaner' too, but that doesn't seem to stop random sites opening when I don't want them too. this is an embarassing problem!!! can anyone out there help????

 

Have you run any virus/trojan or adware scans lately?

yes, i've tried various programs that i installed a while ago, such as 'Spybot S&D', Bazooka, BHODemon, WINner Tweak registry cleaner, Ccleaner and Lavasoft Adware6. The questionable sites seem to come up most often in one of my bookmarked websites, a UK newspaper site. I was wondering whether something may have attached to this bookmark, as, for example, no odd site redirects come up when I come to this site (Majorgeeks). But other sites (not bookmarked) do sometimes start to redirect. I've got a pop-up blocker as well, so this stuff shouldn't really be happening. Could my PC just be old and blocked up and acting strange????

 

Also, how do i stop 'system restore' when I've not got Windows XP??? The directions on this site are specific to XP.

 

If i'm not mistaken there is only system restore in XP and ME.
