I'm having an issue with IE11 on both my Win7 and Win8.1 PCs.

When I click on a .PDF file in a website to download or view, IE11 either freezes or gives me a message that it blocked a potentially malicious download and won't let me access it.

This happens on legit. websites (Dell, HP, etc.). Although I can get around the problem using Firefox, I'm curious as to why this happens.

You may need to enable third party browser extensions in Control Panel, Internet Options, Advanced. If they aren't disabled in Group Policy Editor, or through the registry.

Curious to know what PDF reader you are using. I'm using Foxit Reader and have no problem viewing PDF documents in IE11. Same for both Win 7 and Win 8.1.
