Since recently reinstalling IE8, beneath the usual menu bars is another band with a blue background saying "Hi there. Our new Terms of Service update ....." etc etc.

Despite reading it and then clicking on "Got it", it still appears every time I open IE. I have also clicked on its "X"without success.

How can I disable this annoying "feature"?

It's not just in IE, it's all browsers. It's Google's new spying technique, err, terms of service. I believe not deleting the Google cookie on your computer, no matter if signing in to Google or not, is the only way to avoid it. It's been constant for me for about two weeks.

I believe if you click "Learn More" instead of "Got it", you can get some options on limiting the data they share.

Or you could try Bing.com :-D

Yes, that works, thank you. I use CCleaner and told it to keep Google's cookies.
I will have a look at that.
    That's a bit like replacing a sore foot with a wooden leg:-D
