I'm so confuzzled....

    I can't stop whatever it is in my computer. I think, I THINK it's spyware, since I kept getting pop ups telling me this....well, I hope some one can help, this is what's happening.

    My homepage changes by itself to some wierd page, (Dunno what it is.)
    NOW when ever I even open the browser on ANY page (yes even this one) while online I get over run by windows. I don't mean these weak little things you click once and they go away, I mean like 50 of the same things that have no picture or anything and I have to click them each like 10 times to shut them down, by then atleast 50 more have popped up. I thought it may be a hijacker or spyware one. I got Nortin Anti-Virus/Spybot Search/ and Bug off, but they don't seem to be working. (FYI: I can't afford to buy any spyware remover at the time so most Shareware is outta' the question....) PLZ Help me!!! 'Cause if fighting off pop-ups were a war then I would be losing...badly.

    P.S. The only thing I had to defend myself from things like this besides Norton was Go back (diverts the computer to so far back) but THAT hasn't helped....actually, maybe it is a hijacker.....0.0 *gulp*

    Download Hijack this and post your log of it as an attachment on here. Also be sure to download adaware and spybot search and destroy to get rid of the some of the spyware that is on your computer.

    WELCOME SPECK to our little speck of the world. If you're not sure about Neo's comments, check the notes at the top of the Spyware page (they're called "stickys") and it will tell you what to do.

    Also, re: "download adaware and spybot search and destroy" you need to go to "spyware tools" -- I think you can find that at the bottom of the page.

    Be very careful to follow ALL THE DIRECTIONS...
    Then tell us your operating system and what you use as a browser (Internet Explorer?) and whatever other details come to mind...
    Then come on back and ask more questions....

    The little thingy, Hijack this didn't work...it had an error or something...>.< So I struggled to fight through the evil pop up scum :)-P) And finally managed to download a pop-up blocker form this site which works like a charm...now I can focus on finding something to permanantly remove this thing. :)

    And run all the items indicated there. Then we will worry about HijackThis.
    You probably had a problem because you cannot deal with ZIP file on your computer.
    Don't say stuff like "...it had an error or something" give the exact message and you will get the right help sooner. You even said a lot of vague stuff like that in your first post. Always explain problems in exact detail (like where your homepage went to, what the popups were etc.). Help us to help you and also help us to do it faster. We are only going to ask the questions anyway if you don't give specific info to start with.
