Importing Outlook contacts to Thunderbird?

Hi,

I've looked around online and am having a hard time finding an answer to this- we just got a new computer and need to import contacts, address book, etc. from Outlook on the old computer (not sure which version, computer is running Win XP) to Thunderbird in Windows 7 64 bit on the new computer.

From what I've seen importing to Thunderbird 64-bit is impossible so I guess I'm going to install T-bird 32 bit. Anyone know how to do this or know any good tutorial sites?

I'm not sure how this would work across computers though.
