I don't have any malware, but I do have someone using remote access to completely control my computer.Who ever they are they have made me a non-entity on my computer and themselves the user. They download ABI coded files, files in chinese, have taken over my Registry,my modem, all my Windows Files.I am not allowed to change anything on my computer. They have even changed my anti-virus and firewall.I tried uninstalling mine and installing zone alarm and AVG.They took over the license on my AVG and put everything in Checkoslavakian.Sorry if that is misspelled.i could go on and on,but I think you get the idea.I don't know if I'm just hacked or if I have a virus also, since I can't run a proper anti-virus check. They alter the test log.I don't quite know who I take this problem to.I called the free Microsoft security number.HA! HA! They said they didn't know anything and call my pc manufacturer.Any ideas who I go to with this? Oh by the way,I looked all over for the READ THIS FIRST BEFORE ASKING ANYTHING and I couldn't find it anywhere. The link I was sent, says it's outdated.I could use any ideas on this one anyone could give me.I just bought this pc from Dell last March. Thanks Yall.LostNHopeless

If someone was able to gain remote access and control of your computer, then this was most likely done via a trojan.

Welcome to MajorGeeks.com, please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
    • CounterSpy
    • AVG Antispyware Log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
    • Bitdefender - from step 6
    • Panda Scan - from step 6
    • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
    • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
    • HijackThis

Finally I am able to reply

I am sorry I didn't know I had to go to my profile page to reply.I am new to posting in Forums,in case you haven't guessed by now.I can't find the new link for READ & RUN ME FIRST anywhere.I keep ending up at the same place. The site that has the reply to MajorAttitude which says it is out of date and was updated by Chasling on 10-09-06.It doesn't tell me how to find that link though.Being new to finding my way around,I would appreciate any help on how to find the link for this,as it seems to be the first thing I need in fixing my computer.Thank you so much for your wonderful advice so far,I have both saved the page to Favorites and printed it out,so I can read it off-line as well.I have already printed out the instructions on what HijackThis means. Now I will have to print out how to install and use it.I have alot of work to do.It might be easier to shoot my computer and start over.:) Still in need of READ & RUN ME FIRST,I reckon I'm just not enough of a geek.I know how to Format my computer and reinstall Windows, but as for everything else,I'm lostNhopeless.:)

There is no Link to a New Read Me. The link in the instructions is the correct link, follow the directions in chaslang's post in that thread. There is no need for a format, your problem can be fixed without resorting to a clean install.
