I have an Inspiron E1505 that is ~ 2 years old. It works fine when plugged in however once unplugged it doen't seem to switch over to battery power and will shut off with in 1-2 minutes after unplugging. When you double click on he AC power symbol in the task bar it doesn't recognize that a battery is in place. Dell doesn't seem to have a clue or atleast that's how they are acting.
