In C:\program files\common files\install shield\update service there is a file called agent.exe that pops up in the task manager for about 5 or 10 seconds and it pops up about once every 30 seconds. When it starts up, it uses 100% CPU which makes this laptop run R E A L L Y slowly. It runs good for 20 or 30 seconds until agent.exe starts again. So, can I safely get rid of it without causing any Install Shield problems?
    Thanks.

I did a check through the registry and found several entries that look corrupt. I attached a screenshot of one of 'em.....
