Installed Programs Do Not Open.

Hi there again,

something has happened, like some programs do not open when clicked upon.

when the computer starts it only starts with a blank colored window, there is no icons, win button does not work.

In order to get it going one needs to do a ALT+CTRL+DEL then choose: task Manager: new task: explorer.exe then everything appears but still not all programs will open.

Recently changed from panda to comodo, now I get a message that cis(comodo) is not working when the cpu starts.

My CPU is win 7 x64

I did also mess around in msconfig and installed CCleaner

If this has happened suddenly the first step should always be a system restore. Hope you haven't turned it off!

Do you try into the Safe Mode ? Is there the same situation ? Do you uninstall Panda antivirus correctly using this programme ?

I'm in ubuntu 14 now:

I did turn off the PC, now it goes into recovery mode but cannot recover

I uninstalled panda using revo

I haven't tried safe mode yet

edit: oh I get it, you mean turned off restore, well I guess I have, oops.

Comodo is buggy in my experience. If you can get into safe mode, you might try uninstalling it with Revo too.

If this gets you into Windows, you might be able to reinstall Comodo if you want to try it again. It has deeper rule sets and features, and I wouldn't be surprised if that was causing a conflict with some rules in Panda...
