Installing an external sound card.

    I am installing the Soundblaseter Audigy 2 NX and I was wondering the steps I should take in installing this card on my laptop. I can't disable my onboard sound through my BIOS and I have had problems installing it already. I keep getting distorted scratchy noises, and I was wondering what steps I should take if I am starting this installation from scratch?
