Internet connectivity lacking although browser can load webpages

Since last night I have been having internet connection problems although my browser will usually load webpages without difficulty.

I can't see pictures in my Outlook Express email at all. See portion of email from reputable vitamin retailer LuckyVitamin.

That same email was blocked when I tried to forward it to my cable company's tech support. "(reason: 550 No Such User Here)"

But when I replied to an email from the same tech support individual with the simple message "TESTING", it went through without problems.

I tried to activate a giveaway program from Movavi. The activation failed, as you can see on the screenshot. "A connection with the server could not be established."

I can't upload files through the VirusTotal Uploader application. I get the messages: "Hash search failed" and "HTTP request failed!"

The Security Xploded application for Virus Total gives me the message: "Sorry!!! Specified file is not found on VirusTotal." However if I open the Virustotal.com webpage in my browser, I am able to successfully upload a file and get results for it.

Trying to upload a file to the JottiQ application fails. See screenshot. However if I go to virusscan.jotti.org in my browser, I can upload the file and get results.

I'm also having connectivity problems for my weather applications fail. See screenshots.

A Quick Scan by Advanced SystemCare Ultimate 8 didn't find anything new. (It thinks a Cryptolocker Tripwire setup file is a trojan.)
