Internet Explore not working

    When loading Internet Explorer web page comes up but you can not open it up Address bar has http:/go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkId=50989
    and google bar has Livesearch in. Tried changing it through Tools/and putting in Http://uk.yahoo.com/ and Yahoo Search in the google box ,ticking apply restarting IE but chages back to origin address ,still can not obtain a web page.Internet is working can get updates for other programs
    Can any one help please

    Hi

    Would this be IE7?

    If so then run this as it will remove the runonce/runonce2 page that can stop you from loading pages correctly or setting your default search engine.
