valuation of Internet Explorer 7 should start now, but the software should not be used on production systems in mission-critical environments. Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview - released on March 20th - will only run on Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) systems, but will ultimately be available for Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, and Windows Server 2003.

    * If you're running a version of the Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview, follow these uninstall steps prior to downloading the latest version:

    * Click your Start button, then go to Control Panel
    * Go to Add/Remove programs
    * Go to Change/Remove programs and make sure "Show updates" is checked in the upper-right side of the screen
    * Scroll down on the list and highlight "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview"
    * Click "Remove" to uninstall the previous version of Internet Explorer 7
    * Reboot your PC and return to this download page to begin downloading the
Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview – released on March 20th

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A BETA AND SHOULD BE USED WITH CAUTION AND IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE INEXPERIENCED

    Thanks.

Do you know what improvements they have made or what bugs were ironed out? (I read the release notes, but it doesn't really say anything regarding bug fixes)

I ask because I installed the previous release and had heaps of problems with the favourites drop-down menu not loading, among others.

No i don't off hand but one of the bugs was as you say was with the favorite's drop-down menu not loading for some folks. Best to give this release a try to see if that bug has been ironed out for you

    Regards

I have now installed 2 of the Betas of IE7 and still have my favorites intact, but tip of the day... its easy to backup your favorites just copy and past your favorites folder to a separate part of your HD or to a CD/USB pen, then if for some reason it does fluff up your favorites you can easily copy your folder back :)

I never use the export option as its much easier and quicker to do the above, folder location is C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxxxx\Favorites *where xxxxxxx is your user name.

I installed this update today and no problems so far, still seems a quick as IE6 and the previous IE7 beta, plus I still have not experienced and of the problems some others did.

I only found out recently about Internet explorer 7 beta 2. I have it now and it is working very well. My only problem so far is that I can't change my homepage. Its a small annoyance but I can deal with it

Can someone here please tell me how to access Outlook Express inside the actual browser of IE 7? I have not been able to find a way yet. Did Microsoft change it around or something? Is it not included and is a seperate application like Thunderbird is for Firefox? Just wondering what happened to it. Please help me out, thanks!

I can't find a way to access Outlook Express through IE7 either, I don't see a way really.. that sucks. Other than that I IE7 Beta 2 is great, I'm still getting used to it though. The favorites and homepage buttons are all moved around and stuff.

Outlook Express is now not integrated with IE7, it also will not be updated in the future as MS are now planning the newer Windows Mail application to take over from OE, this is already being tested in Vista, but has no plans as yet to be available for download for other windows versions.

You will have to set a new shortcut on your desktop or a start menu shortcut to OE as in IE7, OE or Windows Mail are separate apps.

What is Windows Mail and how do I obtain it? Is that part of Windows Live? I just wondered.

I had a feeling it was a seperate application, just like Firefox did with Thunderbird. Sure enough I was right, just wanted to make sure.

Windows Mail is part of MS Vista at present and not available for separate download at this moment. Windows Live Mail is the updated Hotmail/MSN email portal, their is a Live Mail Desktop app which is going through early beta's at present so that you can access hotmail or MSN mail from a desktop app over having to go to the online page.

To get both Windows Mail and Live Mail Desktop you would need to be invited to either of those beta tests as they are not availabe as a public beta test yet.

but to my problem i get in this thread
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=95164

it really stuck my OE and IE6 while uninstalling this
even tho msn have the solution it really bothers because mostly of who tried IE7 beta 2 (included me) i think almost 90% dont read that solution

IE7 has no precaution that it will damged OE, IE6 and others (even system restore affected)

they released preview version but i think MS did not fix that "bugs"
