internet explorer needs to be refreshed to find webpage

This just started a couple days ago.. i've recieved numerous updates in the past few days.. so i guess thats my first suspect.. Basically Internet explorer just stopped finding.. pretty much every other page i'll click on, it doesnt matter if it's in my favorites and i've been there a hundred times or if it's the first time i'm going there. as far as i can tell it is completely random. I'll hit refresh one or two times.. then the page finally pops up. I've had virus problems before so i have all the programs that the spyware help sticky reccomends and have run them all, it cleaned up a few little things.. but nothing i havent seen them clean up before. Please help. Thanks, Arit.

re-installing iepxlorer
updating wth sp1
... thats about it

 

have you tried to clean up the temp files and cookies, and restore the Explorer Defaults ?
