Interrupt Controller #1 Fails

    hi
    i have a Compaq Presario 1214SR Notebook PC.
    when powered on after the compaq screen loads
    it beeps non stop, so i ran some system board
    tests with software "Micro-Scope v12.001.
    And Interrupt Controller #1 fails.
    Does this mean i need a new motherboard for it?
    any help or ideas would be great

    I would try going into bios and reload the defaults first see if it comes back sounds bios related then check for bios updates if applicable remeber to save and exit bios after restore defaults hope it helps.

    I have restored bios to default and saved
    and re flashed bios to lastest bios.
    same thing still fails and beeps non stop?
    any other ideas?
