involved boot up

    Hi All,

    When I boot up I see:

    1 Dell logo
    2 Start up Menu ( normal is highlighted, I must click this.)
    3 Windows logo
    4 Start up menu once more (normal is highlighted, but It automatically moves to the next screen after a few seconds)
    5 Windows Logo
    6 Finally the desk top appears.

    I am using win98

    I know it is not a major league problem, but it is so annoying.
    Help!

    i would first check the msconfig.

    start > run > type msconfig hit enter > advanced button and uncheck "startup menu"
