Is it a virus, Spyware, Trojan or something else?

Can I run a HJT log and have it read here? I have been fighting a No IP address issue for a while with my XP. I cannot log onto the internet, I am using a DSL connection, when I run IP Config I get and IP address of 0.0.0.0 and subnet mask 0.0.0.0, IP/renew doesn’t work either, but ping 127.0.0.1 gives me the response I expect, but I cannot successfully ping any site. I am running XP on a Sony Vaio computer, I have tried updating to Service Pack 2 but I always get an error message that will not allow me to complete the update. I have been working on the issue with the Networking guys and also talked to the IP guys at work and a couple have suggested that I may have a Virus or Trojan issue, would it worth running a HJT log and having it checked out? This problem is driving me crazy, I have also lost my ability to play music or anything with this computer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my network card, everything shows it is installed and working correctly, and the connection shows it is enabled, but still will not let me on the internet. Also, when I try to go to Services and start the DNS or DHCP server it will not let me start the service and the path to executable box is blank. When I go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE….. and check the DNS and DHCP listings it shows no Image Path in the system. I have also tried the Winsock (sp?) for XP registry fix and it didn’t help.

I ran through all of the turtorial that I could, most of my programs was up to date except for Stinger which I loaded onto a disk and ran on the bad PC. Stinger did find two worms during the scan and cleaned them, I ran it again and it came up clean. I have attached a HJT log with this post. Any Help will be appreciated.
