Is it possible to view an email sent out but not saved?

For some reason my co workers think I'm a computer guru :confused (which I'm not). I've built a couple of computers and have done alittle work on them, but that's it. So, I end up being the one to ask any computer questions. Sometimes I can help and other times I try and see what I can find out online. Well, one of my co workers sent out an email without saving it and now wants to view it. I forgot to ask what email program or site, but anyway, does the email program have it somewhere on the hard drive or is it just not possible?

 

Most email programs have a 'Sent' folder that holds copies of sent emails until you delete them or for a specified period of time.
