Is The Pcie Slot 16x On The Dell Optiplex 980 Computer?

I can't find out how many lanes the PCIe slot has on the motherboard of this computer. Does anyone know?

Your motherboard has 2 x PCI slots, and 2 x PCIe x16 slots (one routed as x4).

Thanks, I noticed this motherboard has only the 4 pin psu connection. This definitely wouldn't do for a gaming computer I'm assuming.

 

The PSU wattage is what you should look at.

 

It's a Corsair 600 watt PSU. I would think that the motherboard wouldn't be able to provide enough power to the cpu or other connections that a gaming machine needs. All the other MBs I've used have the 24 pin connection. I only see the 4 pin PSU connection on this MB.

 

The motherboard's power connector has 24 or 20 pins.

 

Dell forgot to order a standard version for the 'board above!

It uses a mini version instead which would require converting, I think these would be correct:
