Isass.exe failure to start

My laptop won't initialize beyond the black screen for windows at which point it'll say 'the application failed to initialize properly (0x0000005). Click OK to terminate the application'

It also says it's a Isass.exe error. I can't run any of the procedures indicated on your site as I can't get windows to start.
I can't star in Safe Mode either.

Please, please help!

"(0x0000005)" could be a variety of things including things like hardware failure, Windows corruption or a malware issue.

You can try booting with a Rescue CD and see if that finds/repairs anything. Dr.Web LiveCD

- Burn the CD.
- Insert it into the infected computer and restart it.
- Tap the F12 key to get to the boot menu.
- Select the Dr Web LiveCD and press Enter on the keyboard.

You might also try the 'Testing Memory' option if no malware is found.
