IT Tracking and Inventory Software??

Hi,

My boss asked me to look into inventory and tracking software for over 1,000 PCs, what are you using and how do you like it.

Right now we don't track a techs time or jobs, we use Access DB for inventory.

I'd like something to try before we buy or Freeware..

We used : DumpSec v2.8.6 form Heyna and imported data is stored in an access database.

It dumps the permissions (DACLs) and audit settings (SACLs) for the file system, registry, printers and shares in a concise, readable format, so that holes in system security are readily apparent.
