iTunes Error 11222 Cannot Connect To iTunes Store Help

Greetings Geeks -

It seems iTunes has gone wonky. It will not, cannot, and refuses to connect to the iTunes store. I get the error "11222."

I did some research and did some stuff like cleaning the registry, resetting the winsock connection, making sure there is no proxy server, turning off antivirus, etc., but nothing worked. It seems this is a common occurrence with no as of yet identifiable cause or cure. Can anyone help?

I am running Windows 7 32 bit with the latest iTunes. Thanks for any help.

 

What version of iTunes, are you going through a router, what firewall or anti-virus program? Internet Security programs like McAfee, etc with their tightened firewalls are usually the culprit.
