J2SE Runtime Environment

    Hi

    I have J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 3 listed on my Add/Remove programs list and I really want to get rid of it. However, it has no 'Remove' button and I Can't actually find any other proof that it exists anymore on my computer (searches for any file with that name have thrown up nothing).

    Would appreciate any advice as to how I can find and delete this program.

    Ah yes, forgot to say I've tried JavaRA and it doesn't find anything. I know there's some residual Java stuff on my system though since I can't download the newer version because "Another version of this product is already installed...."
    Feel stuck in a vicious circle with a program that can't be removed :/

    Hi

    Try the Windows Installer Cleanup Util HERE and see if any Java references are listed if so remove them.

    Then also run CCleaner and its cleaner tool and registry tool and run the registry one until nothing is listed for removal, then reboot and see whats happening,
