Jailbroken Iphone 3g 4.2.1, do any Cydia apps work???

I can't seem to find any cool Cydia apps that are 4.2.1. compatible for my jailbroken 3G. Does anyone know of a list? I'm getting really bored here!

Not only that, the main problem is that springboard crashes after launching most things I download. I don't see this problem when using text / call / camera, etc. I guess maybe this goes back to the problem of compatibility... I've been trying to find apps that don't give a version warning. There's not many good ones!
