Java Control Panel

    My java control panel won't open when I double click on it, My system is HP Pavilion DV2000, Processor AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2, System Type 32-bit OS, Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2. Please help, thanks in advance.

    Open Windows Explorer and find this
    C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javacpl.exe
    Click on javacpl.exe that should open it.

    I tried C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javacpl.exe
    Click on javacpl.exe but it didn't open, is there another way? thanks

    Not that I know of. If the java control panel exe file doesn't execute when clicked, I'd be inclined to remove Java completely and do a clean install.
