    Hi all...

I'm a registered member of Trackpass at Nascar, which requires you to be a member of RealOne networks... anyway, this requires that you have the Java Runtime installed on your PC. It was working fine, but now the JRE object is damaged. I tried updating to all sorts of different versions and get a lKernal.exe memory error every time I try to install and the object is listed as damaged.

Anyone know a workaround for this or what may be causing it? I'm baffled...

    Thanks in advance.

check your add/remove and see if there are multiple listings of the JRE installed.. uninstall them all. Then make sure you are logged in as administrator (if you're using winNT/2000/XP skip this if on win98/ME etc) and try to install.

Yep, de-installed it a few times and I am admin on the box. Strange error...

Does anyone know any applications that will stop JRE from installing properly?

Well, I re-installed RealOne player and now it seems I don't need JRE afterall.. strange, but it works.
