java runtime environment

I have a new icon on my deskstop saying hs_err_pid1320. I cannot go online at all. Does anyone know how I can fix this error? Please help. I cannot run a scan since I cna't go online. Writing on son's laptop. Again any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Hi Elan, download the links below and save them to usb or cd...

[1] Uninstall java completely [run the javara uninstaller program]

[2] Install and run ccleaner [make sure to run both cleaner options]

[3] Restart your computer and reinstall java.

That should sort it.

Edit: oh and im not sure what you mean by "I cannot run a scan since I can't go online." ..... as any "scans" should be done offline?
