Jolt2 Attack - Sygate Firewall

Hello,

I've been having problems with sygate firewall. It keeps informating me of a jolt2 attack.

"Denial of Service "Jolt2 Attack" attack detected.
Description:
Jolt2 attacker floods illegally fragmented ICMP or UDP packets into your computer and causes your CPU utilization to be 100%"

thats the specific message, but after some googling i discovered this is an obsolete ddos attack which was fixed by windows ages ago.

I read of people saying this was a false response from sygate as it was just a few to many packets and it was been observed in this way.

I wouldnt mind, but the way sygate defends the computer is by shutting down my active internet connection.

I can't seem to find a way of stopping my firewall from disabling my connection. Or if someone knows a way to stop it altogether. The IP's from which i'm having problems keep changing periodically and occur rather frequently (once per hour).

I didnt post the HJT log as i read it was an external attack and not related to something on the computer. However i have run the standard removal guide of super and spyware, spybot and malwarebytes.

Any help is appreciated.
