Just did a reformat after Carlton virus - need some info

    Hows things, I just reformatted my XP computer because of spyware and a virus and was hoping to make a very restricted account to use the internet with. Can I do such a thing in XP. I tried with a restricted account but can't access the modem. any help is much appreciated:0

    Since this is really not a malware issue but rather how to use poicies and user accounts in Windows, I'm going to move this to the Software Forum.

    However, are you referring to a dialup modem?

    Not really, its a Huawei E270 O2 mobile broadband modem but i have been wanting to do it with the dialup modem too for awhile. Policies? i'll look that up. It rings a bell:)
