Just installed Ubuntu- but now XP doesn't catch wireless!

    Hi,

I installed Ubuntu a few weeks back, and Ubuntu connects to my wireless just fine (as does my iPhone and another computer in the house), but when I run XP on the problem machine, it doesn't get online. It says it can't register with DNS, but XP is able to see available networks, I just get left with the "limited/no connectivity" bit.

    Thoughts?

Try powering down the entire network and rebooting in sequence - modem, router and comp, letting each sync up before starting the next.

I would not think a dual boot situation would affect the connection like that.
Does switching back and forth between Ubuntu and XP always cause this?

Worked like a charm, thank you!
