I've had this infection for 2-4 weeks now. My Malwareantibytes detects the following:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\kbiwkmoqgdcvse (Rootkit.TDSS) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

But it seems to come back after each reboot.

I am also having trouble running ComboFix. I get the following error:

    32788R22FWJFW\iexplore.exe
Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropiate permissions to access the item.

I'd have to click "OK" a bunch of times and it still wouldn't run.

    32788R22FWJFW\n.pif
    32788R22FWJFW\nircmd.cfxxe

Required logs have been attached. Please help me remove these rootkits.

I know the rootkits I've been infected with will be hard to remove, so I'll wait patiently for help.

And all this did was cost you 5 additional days of waiting time. We look at and work on oldest threads first so this is the first time we even see this message. As stated in the stickies, if you bump for any reason, it only hurts you.

Why didn't you run SUPERAntiSpyware as requested and attach the log?

The first instructions in the READ & RUN ME state you must not have multiple antivirus programs installed. You appear to have skipped these. You have Sophos and AntiVir installed. Having multiple AV's installed and also Threatfire from PC Tools on top of the AV's may be the reason you could not run ComboFix.

You also need to put your PC into Normal Starup mode with MSconfig as requested in Step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.

After uninstalling one of the AVs and getting into Normal Statrup mode immediately reboot before doing anything else. Then continue on with the below.

Is your copy of Spyware Doctor a paid version that actually removes malware? If not then uninstall it now as it is a waste to keep it running or installed.

I suggest that you cleanup all of the stuff you have been saving to your Desktop. You should not be randomly downloading and running all of these tools. You should only be running them as requested by an expert to avoid totally breaking your PC.

Now if Spybot's Teatimer is running, disable it by doing the below: How to disable Spybot's TeaTimer

Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
Ask Toolbar <-- should have been uninstalled in step 5 of the READ ME
    Java(TM) 6 Update 7

Now download The Avenger by Swandog46, and save it to your Desktop.
    • Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    • Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    • Do not change any check box options!!
    • Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it into the Input script here: part of the window:
    • Now click the Execute button.
    • Click Yes to the prompt to confirm you want to execute.
    • Click Yes to the Reboot now? question that will appear when Avenger finishes running.
    • Your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    • A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt and it will popup for you to view when you login after reboot.
After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Now run Ccleaner. Only use the Run Cleaner button. Do not run anything else on any other forms.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • C:\avenger.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!
