keyboard and mouse erratic on laptop!

    For the past couple of days, I've had this annoying problem on my laptop. My keyboard and mouse are going nuts! Sometimes some keys don't work, sometimes they display another letter or character. For instance I often have a problem with the "e" that displays € instead.

    With my notepad, I have similar problems. The left click often displays the properties instead of opening the application. The right click displays the menu for a very short time before disappearing for no reason.

    It's getting very annoying because I can't type anything or do anything on my laptop (I'm using another computer to type this message). I ran several anti-virus scans with several softwares but it didn't pick up anything wrong. I tried plugging in an external keyboard and an external mouse, but the same problems occurred. I uninstalled the keyboard and reinstalled it with no success. I did a restoration system to before the problem popped up, but it didn't change anything. The problem also occurs in the BIOS and in safe mode. Can anyone help please?

    Did you read the email signup information you received. It explained to you what to do if you had malware problems. And it also gave you the below sticky thread links.

    Don't Bump! It Only Hurts You!!! - this one explains to you how we work and why this unnecessary message from you cost you additional delay. We are extremely busy providing free support and it takes time to get an answer since too many people do not properly protect themselves from malware. Currently we are running 3 to 4 days behind.


    READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide - and this one gives you the steps to follow if you need malware removal help. As stated in our forum sticky threads, we don't accept don't want any inline logs nor do we want you posting HijackThis logs which are not going to help you resolve keyboard and mouse problems anyway.


    All that being said, 99.8% of the time problems with keyboards and or a mouse are hardware or software driver related. We can check your PC for malware but you will need to follow the instructions in the above READ & RUN ME FIRST. Otherwise I suggest that you post in the Hardware Forum. You should also check to see if your problems occur in safe boot mode.
