Keyboard & Mouse Are Not Working

    I'm pretty sure I caught a virus on my PC. My cursor got stuck in the address bar, and Ctl+Alt+Del wouldn't work, so I shut off the computer, and after it rebooted, everything seemed to work fine. I opened up firefox, and as soon as it opened, the cursor got stuck again, this time in the middle of the page.

    Now every time I reboot, the cursor is stuck in the same place. Everything loads fine, and I even see the usual "Internet Connection is now connected". However, the keyboard won't work, and the mouse won't work. They're both wireless (Logitech) and show that they're connected. F1 on the keyboard lights up the battery light, so it's obviously connected. I think it's a virus, and I don't know how to proceed. I can't reboot in safe mode, since the keyboard doesn't work, and I can't go to the Start menu either. Any suggestion on how to proceed, so I can get rid of this virus. Thanks!

    There isn't much we can do to help you with any malware issues until you get the keyboard and mouse working. You can try creating and running one or more of these disc's:



    But you may need to post in the hardware forum for assistance with the mouse and keyboard issues.

    Thanks. You can delete this thread if you want. I found out the problem. All I needed to do was press the connect button on the logitech base. Doh!
