Try another Keyboard ( a basic ps2 one)
And make sure you plug into the case before you post up/boot.
Is it plugged into the keyboard port?

    Back to Basics:

    1) What are you trying to do?
~ My guess: you are trying to get in the BIOS settings? If so:

    2) What key does it display upon boot that needed to be pressed to get in the BIOS settings?
~ Many assume it is always DEL key but quite often it could be F1 or F2 or some other key combinations. Make sure you are pressing the correct key.
Make sure keyboard is plugged in the correct port. If you are facing the back of a tower-type case the PS/2 port on the left would be for keyboard ( the port is generally colored purple). Make sure none of the 'LOCK' keys are actrivated (Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, Num Lock).

    3) Does pressing the 'Pause' button do anything during bootup (after the memory count)?

Hey, I had the same problem, have you tried using a USB keyboard? I seem to remeber it working in the BIOS even if there are no drivers installed. See if you can borrow one off a friend to test.

Sometimes with my usb logitech keyboard keyboards, i have trouble accessing the bios of my machine but usually a reboot fixes it, but never had any problem like that with ps2 keyboards.

You could try resetting the BIOS by way of a jumper on the motherboard or removing the battery for a minute or two and replaceing it. Of course the machine should be off and unplugged while doing this. Then the next time you start the machine it will pause and require you to enter the BIOS. Then make your normal settings in BIOS and it should be fine. It sounds like something in the BIOS is causing your Keyboard not to respond. By setting the defaults is should correct the problem.
