    I have a IBM Thinkpad R60e.

One of my kids changed my bios password but i could still access windows.

I downloaded Kill Cmos bacause this site says it works with all cmos.

Booted up and run from DOS and now when i turn laptop on it says date is wrong and then asks for password and wont let me into the system.

At least before i could use the system now its useless.

    Can anyone help

It is tricky in laptops, but you should be able to disconnect the CMOS battery to return the system to factory default BIOS settings. I found the hardware maintenance manual here, with any luck it will tell you how to reset your CMOS the hardware way. Good luck! I've been in your situation, and it sucked. Hope you get this fixed.

I'm not conversant on the thinkpad, but generally, if you want to totally kill the settings in the cmos, you have to remove the cmos battery, the main battery and any external power for about 30 minutes, for the memory cells in the cmos to completely drain down to zero.

Then after the appropriate wait, put the cmos battery back in, restore main power and you should be able to access the cmos in the normal manner, reset the time and date, save the settings and get back into windows.

    Good Luck,
