Laptop failing to get past Windows start up.

Hi. We are running a Dell L502x with Windows 7.

On start up it comes up with the Windows failed to start screen and then goes to launch start-up repair. It then goes to the start-up repair screen and starts searching for problems.

It continues on attempting repairs and then ends at "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically".

Any ideas please. I have attached a picture that came up on an alternative start-up.

Well the first shot says the master file table is not recoverable.

Some Geek hanging out here might have some suggestions for fixing this, provided that the hard drive is still healthy.

The 2nd shot concerns me because your computer is pointing to Windows Live/photo Gallery as the path for the restore!
