    Hello,

My laptop has a hitch in her giddy-up, so to speak. It has been freezing a lot lately, and it also has been giving a weird blue screen warning so quick that I cannot make out what it says...I think it mentions a recent download being bad or something of the sort, but that's all I can make out. It has also wiped out my help center, other folders in the C:// and even the Wireless Connections Lan in the tray and Network Connections have come up missing periodically (more times than not).

I appreciate the wonderful service you provide from this site and have been assisting in the past. I am looking forward to having diagnose whatever ails this computer, and having a little perspective on why it's performing like such.

    Thanks in advance!

    Here's round two...

Edit: I neglected to mention that the task manager applications is acting weird and just shows what's running, but not the options above the list of processes running...it also doesn't read task manager after the icon in the tray on the bottom of the screen. I'm not sure how to go about correcting that issue as well.

Once more, my sincerest appreciation, gratitude & thanks....to your fine volunteers--you continue to provide a most excellent service indeed!!!

Your logs are clean.....though you can tell me what this is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Khaleya\Application Data\2E17B1 --> if you don't know, remove it.

This does not appear to be a malware issue. I suggest you post in software to pursue these issues.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommed you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)

    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Thank you so much TimW. I don't know what that file is , nor how to find it so that it can be delete. I truly appreciate your help and thank you for your time. If you can instruct me any further, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Once again I thank you!

Right click start / explore ...now scroll down to the user name Khaleya and look in the application data folder.

Thanky, thanky!!! I will do that pronto! So the logs were clean otherwise....must've been a stop error problem as it stated. It read: driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL...

    *** STOP :0x000000D1 (0x00000010, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xA9F04700)

    *** bcmwl5.sys -Address /A9F04700 base at A9EDF000, DateStamp 452ecb3

I'm not sure what it is, or how to go about resolving the issue...but I thank you greatly for your expertise and generosity. I truly appreciate it!!!

That is a driver for Broadcom Network.....you should be able to download the driver to a cd or thumb drive and install it. Check your manufacturers web site.
