LAPTOP LCD -> for use at home

    I've been scanning e-bay for LCD monitors. Finding many used flat-panels pulled from laptops new also, at a very reasonable price. The problem is that the connecter hooks to that laptop.

    Does anyone know a way i can get that lcd panel from any laptop, purchase some hardware somewhere to adapt it for connectivity to a standard vga output from a pc? I also have an interest in mounting this in a car for use with custom applications. Please help!
