My Laptop has started shutting down. Once the desktop loads within a minute a box pops up saying WONDOWS EXPLORER HAS STOPPED WORKING. Then the blue screen appears and the laptop shuts off and goes to the screen asking whether to boot in safe mode, normal, last good configuration etc.

Any ideas on how this can be fixed? I've got a Dell Inspiron 1525 / Windows Vista.

    Thanks :)

Will it boot and stay running in Safe Mode?

Did you by any chance get the stop error code? That is very useful in determining what exactly is causing your BSOD. If you have the Vista OS disc, then you can run a repair installation to fix any windows errors that might be causing it to Blue Screen on you.
