Laptop stopped reading all USB connections.....

As of right now my Laptop has stopped reading all my usb connections. Though I can use the key board and my built in touchpad for mouse. I have an HP EliteBook 8730w

 

What does device manager show under USB?
Is USB enabled in the BIOS?
I assume when you say

You mean external hard drives and USB sticks.

Do you have a USB mouse? If so, what happens when you plug it in?

 

I use a USB mouse. Let me explain further.
When I plug in my mouse it says "USB device not recognized"
When I plug in my TurtleBeach audio amplifier it says "USB device not recognized"
When I plug in my camera connector it says "USB device not recognized"
When I plug in my printer it says "USB device not recognized"

I don't know how else to explain it. I don't even know why you are saying that I mean my external drives, lol.


Actually, not even my Audio headphone jack is working........Hmmmmmm....
