    Hello

I have recently taken my laptop apart for a clean, i removed hard drive, ram and battery. I put everything back carefully and now when i start the laptop up, it turns off within 5-10 seconds

I'm totally flummoxed with this one! I would be so grateful if someone could help?

Reseat the hard drive and RAM. What you're describing sounds like one or both is/are improperly seated. But, I mostly suspect RAM.

    Or heat.

    Check your cpu fan.

What CPU is it? An AMD Turion X-2 runs super duper hot, and would frequently do what you are describing.

Many AMDs are prone to motherboard overheating and failure. IMO (based on what I see come into my shop), AMD's Vision series are the worst.

You may have to find a shop or tech in your area that is a expert on motherboard repair. I have a tech on retainer who does a good job at this. The retail cost of the repiar should be around $125.
