OK, I've been outa the loop for a while, so how gentle do I have to be with this new toshiba satellite when transporting it on a motorcycle, can I leave it in standby or should I shut it down completely? Are the newer hard drives less fragile than they used to be? Any advice would be great, thanks

My understanding of standby mode is the hard disk and display are turned off, and the CPU is throttled down to its lowest-power state. However, memory is kept active, which requires battery power, but at a very slow rate. (taken from a website). So i guess you don't need to worry about the hard drive because it's powered off.
