i was told by someone that you can download files off of people on mric.
is this possible.
and is it better than p2p.

 

i use mIRC as my IRC client... you send/receive files via DCC option (right click someone's name in a channel and select DCC)... not sure about how download peers compare to P2P but it seems to work well...

 

Some people set up Remote scripts which allow you to request a file off them, which makes them initiate a file transfer. you need to give them the right commands though, because its basically just a bot that sits in a room waiting for people to download stuff off it.

The speed and integrity of the files depends on the person youre downloading it off!
