I bought an inspiron E1505 this past july, and recently i noticed that every so often, my left speaker would just stop working. I would gently shake the laptop, or tap lightly over where the speaker is, and usually it would turn on again.

It happens randomly, sometimes when the laptop is just turned on, sometimes after its been on for hours.

I'm assuming something is loose in there, should i try to check it out myself, or leave it to a pro?

Depends on your level of confidence ....if a loose connection ...it may need soldering ....but google laptop repairs ....or look at this:

Be aware that if it is under warranty ...it will be voided if you open it.

Stop shaking, start driving back to the shop you bought it from. As TimW said, it is still under Warranty. let them fix it. They may find something else loose, as well. Bazza
