lilo removal

    hey guys, i have my pc w/ a second HD w/ mandrake on it, and lilo boot manager, how do i remove the linux and lilo? i tried just pulling the HD but it gave me an error and wouldnt let me boot. i never got to use teh linux cuz apparently goofed on my root password and cant get in, and idnt set any accounts. plus i could use the spare HD on my other system
