    Hey,
The current state of my harddrive is partitioned in both Windows XP Pro and Lunix SuSE. I have 45.6GB for Windows XP Pro and I have what's left over of my 80GB HD with Linux SuSe (34.4GB). I originally had WinXP on this computer, then decided to split my one and only HD into two by installing Linux SuSE. All I want to do now is give 15GB to Linux SuSE and 65GB to WinXP. What would be the easiest, safest way to do this? I don't won't to lose what I all ready have on WinXP Pro. Geeks??? Thanks in advance :-D

The software that you used to partition your drive, should also allow you to re-size these partitions accordingly without any loss of data!

I use Acronis disk director suite 10, which enables me to do this manually or automatically.

ADDS is available here at MG(disc utilities).....but not sure if it is V 10.0

i'm the second to Disk Director, and you'll need to use it or the similar prog, coz there are some limitations in windows system - you can't repartition system drive without reformating with the help of windows utilities.

don't listen to them thisisu. cfdisk or fdisk can resize partitions.

The easiest way is to use a Partition editor that has a GUI. Issuing commands from the Command Line can have disastrous results if you don't know exactly what you're doing.

The best way would be to use a Live CD, such as the gParted Live CD and resize your partitions.

Your Linux partition is really 4 partitions Boot, Root, Swap and Native. You want to reduce the size of the Native Partition. Apply changes then increase the size of your Windows partition then apply changes.

WARNING: any time you reduce the size of a partition that contains data, there is always the risk of losing some of that data.
